I was in Haast and everything worked out perfectly; the host was welcoming and kept me posted on convoys to Wanaka because of a landslide, showing impressive local knowledge. The facilities were solid and the views were breathtaking, though the weather was a downside—something nobody can control.

The location, room size, cleanliness, facilities, and toilets were all good, and the couple at reception were warm and lovely; we enjoyed our stay here. Nothing negative.
