The IMLAUER HOTEL PITTER Salzburg, a 4-star superior hotel since 1864, offers a central location near Salzburg's landmarks. Soundproofed, air-conditioned rooms feature minibars and tea/coffee facilities. The hotel boasts a panoramic view from the IMLAUER Sky-Bar & Restaurant, sauna, fitness facilities, and an Austrian Ecolabel certification. Valet parking and a nearby garage are available; Salzburg main train station is a 10-minute walk away.

I’ve been to Salzburg before, a wonderful city. The hotel is large, beautiful, and in a great spot across the river from the center, about a 15‑20 minute walk. Extremely clean, with two restaurants: a rustic one in the basement serving traditional dishes at reasonable prices, and another on the panoramic terrace with more refined cuisine and prices that match the location. The room is adequate, not huge but fully equipped, and the iron in the wardrobe was a nice touch for ironing outfits for concerts and theater, as we did. The staff were all exceptional, from reception to housekeeping to the restaurant, always ready to give information with a smile. We didn’t use breakfast. The breakfast cost 37 euros per person, which seemed a bit high compared to other hotels of the same or higher level we stayed at this summer in similar locations. There are plenty of pastry shops nearby or in the city center. Overall, it’s a great hotel and that aspect won’t stop us from returning.

Great location, but the shower was poorly designed and had no soap, and the parking deck was confusing to use.

Great location nice sauna and view. The staff should have clearly explained that parking at the front and on the sides of the hotel is free during certain times. Instead, I was told that there was only one parking option, without being informed about these alternatives or the times when parking was free. As a guest, I rely on the hotel staff to provide accurate and complete information
