Hotel Serenella

Friendly staff. Good, abundant breakfast and perfect cleanliness. The only flaw, which some might see as a perk, is the poor lighting in the room; I like to read before bed and it becomes a bit difficult. Still great for relaxing.

The staff’s welcoming attitude and friendliness, and the quality of the hotel’s restaurant. The room’s sound insulation is poor—road noise is audible—and there is no shower head.

“Décevant”

Good location and parking at the hotel. The bathroom was dirty (hair, fur), the room was old, breakfast was light, and the front desk staff pushed us hard to dine in their restaurant.

“Ät på restaurangen, men bo inte över.”

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel’s restaurant was fantastic, with excellent food and a wine list that had everything one could wish for. However, it seems they focus all their effort on the restaurant and much less on the hotel itself. The rooms were worn and lacking. The traffic from the road outside was very disturbing. The bed was hard and uncomfortable, the pillows flat. The room air was stale and we couldn’t use the air conditioning because it had not been cleaned in a long time; when we turned it on a cloud of dust rose and settled in the vents, so we had to shut it off immediately. Soap and shampoo were scarce—only two small sachets of shower soap. Bring your own soap, shampoo, and shower soap.

“Wir würden in diesem Hotel gerne wieder übernachten.”

Short walk to the lake. Parking right at the hotel. Very good breakfast and an excellent restaurant with very friendly service. We would have liked at least one German program on the TV.
