“Surullinen kokemus”

The dogs were wonderful and we were greeted warmly when we arrived. Before we got there, we asked about laundry and grilling, and the staff said both were possible. Mrs. Daniela told us to contact her if anything came up, but we couldn’t reach her because she worked from morning to evening, and the host was the only one present. The host asked us to ask Mrs. Daniela about grilling, so we waited until she returned home around ten. The vibe was tired and the host and hostess rushed to bed. We ended up grilling in the dark and felt like a nuisance. We were told we couldn’t have housekeeping in our room because we had spread items everywhere. We’re on a trip longer than two weeks with a lot of luggage, so we were quite confused. We’re sorry we didn’t realize housekeeping wasn’t part of the service and we couldn’t expect it. We also don’t understand how having a few open suitcases could mean we couldn’t throw away trash. The host had told Mrs. Daniela about this, and she said it wasn’t possible because of our mess. It was really strange and made us feel blamed. Our group of two guests had put a sign on their door saying no housekeeping needed and that free drinks would be offered, but those drinks were never given. Mrs. Daniela also said we were the first Finnish guests and wanted to offer us free drinks when greeting us, but that never happened again. We asked for laundry and the first evening it was said it would be done. Then we got the same dirty laundry back at departure and were told we couldn’t wash because we had given too little laundry. Mrs. Daniela also said she couldn’t wash because she was working.

“Daniela e Vincenzo: il CUORE di Capo Vaticano”

The stay in Capo Vaticano was fantastic, especially thanks to Daniela and Vincenzo! They’re the real added value of this B&B: Daniela is strong‑willed, sunny, and welcoming, always ready to help and make you feel at home. Vincenzo, with his Calabrian DOC style, is truly funny, equally sunny and hospitable, and in no time you’re won over by his genuine charm. The house is spotless, cared for in every detail, and incredibly cozy. Breakfast is magnificent, truly delicious, and the drinks prepared by Daniela are simply fantastic. Their garden is a little paradise: in the evenings we preferred to return early to the B&B just to spend time there with them, chatting and enjoying moments that made this vacation special. Conversations with Daniela and Vincenzo taught us a lot, giving us valuable insights and helping us understand life a bit more. If we ever go back to Capo Vaticano, we’ll come mainly for Daniela and Vincenzo. Such warm and genuine hospitality is rare to find. Highly recommended!

What can I say? It wasn’t just a bed and breakfast, it was a real added value to our trip. The Airbnb offered the classic services flawlessly and also gave us the chance to meet a special family. Everything was as clean as it should be. You could request breakfast in advance based on your needs, with the added benefit of tasting delicious homemade products directly from the owner. The warmth, laughter, and feeling of well‑being that the two owners shared created an experience I’ll hardly forget. Needless to say, if we ever decide to return to Calabria, this will be the place I’ll stay (and I can’t wait). Thanks again and see you soon!
