The host was friendly and the place was average, but the breakfast room is tiny, windowless, and the food is packed and left out in the evening. The surroundings are industrial and ruins, so you don’t want to walk around; it was irritating that every hour of late check‑in would cost €10, something we’ve never seen on any other trip.

The room was clean, but I’m a bit disappointed with the location and the exterior isn’t well maintained.

The setup is simple but welcoming, built directly into the owners’ house. The vibe is family‑like and informal, and the owners are helpful and friendly. The two rooms share a single entrance and there’s a small common area with a sink, a coffee machine with pods, and a mini fridge. Breakfast is self‑service and practical: pre‑packed snacks, biscuits, water, and milk are provided. Inside you can leave your car safely in a fenced area with an electronic gate. Because of the location it’s better to have a car to get to the city centre, where there’s a very convenient underground parking at Foce Irno for €1.00 per hour and only five minutes on foot from the train, bus, and ferry station. The B&B is in a peripheral part of Salerno, quiet but the surrounding areas are not well cared for. Nearby is the beach with a few beach bars, but they’re not particularly well maintained.
The room was spotless and cozy, everything was lovingly decorated and you have everything you need; the air conditioning was great, the shower was large, and parking was safe. The best pizza of my life was just around the corner, and there’s a lovely garden to have breakfast outside and relax in the evening. The hosts were very nice, helpful, and accommodating – thanks Raffaela and Domenico! The surrounding area isn’t very appealing on foot, but with a rental car it was great.
