Boutique hotel Vila Planinka

The staff were incredibly courteous and friendly, a team that makes excellent hosts; the breakfast was great, the creative cuisine superb, and the sommelier handled guest requests competently; the rooms were cozy and the sauna area was nice and quiet, but the mattresses were personally too soft.

“Wunderschönes Hotel, aber für mich eher ein gutes 4*Hotel.”

The hotel is gorgeous, small, cozy and quiet. The rooms are beautifully furnished and smell wonderfully of wood. The breakfast buffet is outstanding. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. The sauna area offers a very calm and private atmosphere. Everyone probably has different expectations for a 5* hotel and the corresponding price‑value ratio. I missed a natural pool and a nice outdoor lounging area. There are nice seating spots outside, but the hotel sits on a federal road that isn’t loud, yet it doesn’t provide absolute silence. In the sauna area it would be nice if it were a bit brighter so you could read. A little more juice selection and maybe nuts or similar would also be nice.

“Conforto, natureza e hospitalidade excepcionais.”

A very lovely hotel in a wonderful part of Slovenia. The room was extremely comfortable, we slept superbly! Breakfast was delicious, with products from local producers, and the view was exceptional. The staff were extremely kind, which really caught our attention. They told us the hotel’s intention is to make guests feel at home, and that’s exactly how we felt. Everyone who attended us was exceptional. I would definitely stay there again when I return to Slovenia.

“Beautiful hotel, disappointing service”

A beautiful location and charming hotel. Unfortunately, the service didn’t meet the standard I expected for this price range. Even though I contacted the hotel in advance and had my requests confirmed by email, several details were not communicated to the staff. Breakfast was especially disappointing: I waited about 30 minutes without being acknowledged, while other guests were attended to repeatedly. I reached out to the hotel directly after my stay to share these concerns, but I received no response or acknowledgment. Overall, a beautiful property, but the service didn’t justify the price or expectations.
