The staff were very helpful. They first gave me detailed information about the city, and after checkout they sent my forgotten items to another state. Despite the early checkout, they gave me free breakfast to go. It isn’t a Hilton but it’s quite fine. There were several power outages, which seems to be a common issue in India. During those outages, when you turn on the bathroom light (via battery) you hear a very loud fan noise. It’s also hard to remember what each of the 10 switches does.

The staff always smile, though they don’t speak English; the manager does but isn’t always present, yet they still try to understand and help. Breakfast is good, and the ghats are a 20‑minute walk away. The mattress is terribly uncomfortable, with springs clearly felt through it, making sleep difficult.

I managed to do an early check‑in well in advance for a small fee, which let me rest. They also swapped my room at no extra cost because mine had no window. The rooms are very simple but perfect for unwinding from the city. There are a few small details that could be improved, but overall it does its job.

Starting from the premise that we were looking for a place in the heart of Varanasi to walk around, the property is ideal. The guys running it are super helpful and eager to help. You have to go in with the mindset of adapting.
