The Westin South Coast Plaza, located in Costa Mesa, California, offers easy access to Disneyland within a 20-minute drive and Newport Beach within a 20-minute drive. The hotel features an outdoor pool, sun terrace, lighted pickleball and tennis courts, and a fitness center. Modern rooms include flat-screen TVs, toiletries, and 24-hour room service.

The building looked nice and my room was spotless and charming, but I was furious because I didn't know about the construction until 5 pm every day. The jackhammer was so loud from my room that I couldn’t relax, make a call, or watch TV. When I asked the front desk for a different room, they said the whole hotel was affected by the work and offered me a drink ticket. I should have known about the construction before booking. At $300 a night I was extremely disappointed. I sent a note to the Westin and they replied, “thank you, we will take it under consideration.” Sorry, that would have been helpful.

The place was quiet and peaceful, not resort‑like, but it would have been nice to have drinks and food around the pool all week; there was no service.
