From the very first moment we felt incredibly welcomed. Martin and Vi greeted us with so much warmth and personally guided us through the lodge. You can feel the passion they put into this special place. We were allowed to use bicycles for free and received great tips for activities with our three kids. We especially enjoyed the shared meals at a large table, which sparked wonderful conversations and helped us get to know each other. We really appreciated that family‑like atmosphere. The food was excellent every day, freshly cooked and generously plated. The entire accommodation is very well maintained and clean. A highlight was the shared Mekong‑Delta tour with Martin and Vi; it was incredibly authentic and gave us a wonderful insight into the local people’s lives. The tours are priced on the higher side, but that’s understandable given the remote location and the personal, authentic experience. We had stayed in nine different places on our trip, but none felt as personal as this. These encounters and the warmth make a trip unforgettable. The best compliment came from our three kids: for them, this accommodation was the absolute highlight. From the bottom of our hearts, a huge thank you for your hospitality, the beautiful moments, and even the unexpected hospital visit.

“Warm and welcoming Mekong Delta homestay”

Martin and Vi are exceptional hosts, offering a unique perspective on life in the Mekong Delta. Their love for the area and its people shows in every conversation, especially during the must‑do boat tour. The lodge is very comfortable, clean, and well maintained, with just the right touch of the wild surroundings. The pool is very welcoming! The food is a real highlight—every meal was delicious and far exceeded typical rustic homestay fare. All the staff, along with a variety of pets, were very friendly. Overall, the lodge is a warm, verdant, and inviting place—we wished we could have stayed longer!

The location in the Mekong Delta is unique. The homestay is lovingly run, aiming to bring visitors closer to the Delta. Various tours are offered, and we took the boat tour to the floating markets, highly recommended. Otherwise, you can explore the area by bike or moped, with guidance on worthwhile sights. The food is prepared by a Vietnamese cook, offering a uniquely tasty Vietnamese cuisine that we couldn’t get enough of. Fresh fruit is always served. Dining is communal at a large table, bringing different guests together. Our room was large and freshly renovated. The property gives a very well‑maintained impression.

“Vietnam außerhalb des Tourismus hautnah erleben”

A dreamy retreat right in the heart of the Mekong Delta! The Ricefield Lodge is a true little paradise amid nature. The entire property is lovingly designed, and our own cottage with a private roof terrace was simply beautiful. We especially want to highlight the incredibly friendly, attentive, and helpful staff who make you feel welcome immediately. The lodge is in a wonderfully quiet, rural setting far from typical tourist paths, which gives it a special charm. There are several dogs on the grounds, all friendly, calm, and well‑trained. A memorable experience was our speedboat tour; the ride was thrilling and informative, offering a great way to see authentic Delta life up close. Absolutely recommended! We also want to give a big shout‑out to the chef, who is always helpful and even assists with further travel planning, offering valuable recommendations for accommodations, sights, and activities. Unfortunately, our stay passed too quickly—we would have liked to stay longer at this beautiful spot. We wholeheartedly recommend the Ricefield Lodge and would return anytime! For those who want to experience the original, rural Delta away from tourist bustle, this is the perfect place.

“Paradies”

The place is flawless—just remember the location before booking, and it feels like a tiny slice of paradise. The bungalows, pool, and food are all outstanding, and Martin made the sunrise boat tour unforgettable. Parents with teens will appreciate the solid Wi‑Fi.
