The hotel is stunning, and we really enjoyed strolling around the well‑kept grounds and relaxing in the library on a rainy day. There are fields and public footpaths nearby where you can wander, and sheep everywhere were adorable. Breakfast was very nice, and the rooms were spacious yet cosy. The hotel’s location is great because you can reach almost anywhere in the Brecon Beacons within 30 minutes by car. It was a perfect stay for exploring the Beacons during the day and unwinding at the hotel in the afternoons and evenings.

I stayed in a beautiful spot and the room was lovely, but when I ate at the restaurant the young staff missed details—no spoon with the soup, ciabatta was missing, and the butter cutlery wasn’t replaced before the starter. My complaint about the fish being off got little response. If I hadn’t dined there, I would have called the stay faultless.
