“Dégouté”
The décor was nice and the location central. The reception was “no key if you don’t pay at the front desk.” The hotel matched the description, but once paid you could enter the room. The fridge was broken, replaced by another that didn’t work either, the TV didn’t work, and the safe didn’t work either (reprogrammed the next day). No soap in the bathroom, and when we asked for it we got soap for laundry; the water was cold with a ridiculous spray. The parquet was beautiful, but some planks were broken and could cause injury. Cleaning was done but we were left without toilet paper. Breakfast was optional, 40 minutes wait for two slices of white bread and margarine as a butter substitute. The room was listed at 61 € but charged 68 €, taxes paid twice. For a three‑star hotel where nothing works, it feels like something from twenty years ago – it’s barely worth a star. I don’t recommend this place; there are much better options in Tana for comparable prices. Luckily we had booked for three days.
