“Bel hôtel belle piscine belle vue mais manque de convivialité”
The hotel’s setting is very pretty, the view of the village of Bierge is charming, and the pool is very pleasant. The rooms are a little outdated but comfortable and spacious, with a nice bathroom even though there’s no shower. The terrace is also a bit old-fashioned but nice. Breakfast is very good and filling, and the front‑desk staff give great advice and are efficient. The room service staff are also efficient and very helpful. The village of Bierge is very friendly, people are relaxed, and the café in the village serves good food at very reasonable prices. The village feels lively! The cafeteria at the municipal pool is also very good and pleasant. The nightly rate is high for what’s offered, the beds are too small for a luxury room, evening dining can be too filling and the prices are not listed on a menu. The hotel’s atmosphere feels impersonal; guests pass each other without interaction or friendliness, so you probably need to be a regular to feel comfortable. The dining staff are somewhat inexperienced and don’t always use appropriate wording.
They took care of us so well, from extra towels for the pool to the best packed lunch we ever had the next day.
The place was quiet and relaxing, the staff were truly extraordinary, the meals were delicious, everything was perfect—thanks.

The mattress is good, the memory‑foam pillows are great, the room is bright with a large window and blinds, and there’s a fridge in the room. The bathroom is spacious with a modern bathtub. The pool and garden are very pleasant. The staff are very friendly. The restaurant isn’t very good; the food follows French tastes. Service is slow (perhaps more staff are needed). Breakfast may not be very varied.

The décor had great taste, the room was spotless, the bathtub was a delight, the bed was super comfy, and the staff were attentive. The only downside was that breakfast wasn’t included in the steep price.
