I had a fantastic time at Foreigners Inn. The setting was calm, cozy, and welcoming. Its location is highly convenient, making it one of the best options near Shri Kashi Vishwanath Dham in Varanasi. The overall experience was pleasant, and the serene atmosphere added to the enjoyment. I would definitely recommend Foreigners Inn to anyone seeking a comfortable and convenient stay in Varanasi.

I have almost 200 reviews, so rating it is tough. The location is close to the main ghat, but getting there is complicated; the streets are very dirty, with cows and monkeys on the way. The room was comfortable, yet the bathroom was dirty and the facilities were lamentable. Breakfast was only for Indians, impossible for Westerners. We paid 15 euros for a triple room, and the photos do not match reality.

I didn’t like anything about the hotel. The rooms were in such bad condition—literally stinky, with unclean bed sheets. The photos set high expectations, but the hotel was the opposite. Small doors, old‑fashioned rooms with no proper lock. The staff were not well‑mannered. They charged extra for a 50‑minute late check‑out when we arrived about two hours late. There was no proper car parking; my car stayed outside the whole time and got scratched in multiple places. The worst experience ever. I will never recommend this hotel to anyone.

They didn’t clean the room, didn’t change the bedsheets, didn’t give me a toothbrush or toothpaste, and paint from the wall kept falling to the floor. When I asked a staff member to clean the room and give me a blanket, he told me to bring it himself. I stayed with my wife and our two little children; the owner only appeared at check‑in and check‑out for money. No water bottle was provided in the room. If you book because it says it’s near Dashaswamedh Ghat, remember it is 1.5 km away. All hotels have a 12 PM check‑in, but here it was 1 PM, and check‑out was 11 AM.
