Plough and Harrow

“The Plough and Hearth was an ideal starting point for visiting the beautiful Welsh countryside!”

The full Welsh breakfasts were excellent, especially the sunny side up eggs. We also enjoyed the variety of toasted breads, and the yogurt and fresh fruits and granola, etc., offered as accompaniments. There was also a dinner menu, and we could have our evening meals at the pub instead of having to go in search of food and drink. The hostess was pleasant, and we enjoyed meeting the pub dog, Paddy. A sunnier day would have given us a better view atop the heights of Brecon Beacons National Park on the day we visited, but the lower elevations were beautifully green and gorgeous. My son particularly liked visiting the various waterfalls

“Very relaxing stay”

Good breakfast. Large lounge with good seating part of room. Very clean and friendly owner. The best bit was paddy the dog that always greeted us with a big tail wag. The toilet flush was hard work minor problem

“Heerlijk verblijf met een erg vriendelijke gastvrouw.”

Vriendelijkheid gastvrouw en heerlijk ontbijt. Je kunt er ook savonds eten. Omdat ik het ei een beetje moe was, had ze voor ons de 2e dag wat ham en Welshe kaas bij het ontbijt gezet. Aparte zitkamer gescheiden van slaapkamer wat erg fijn is. Zag er schoon en netjes uit. Etensgeuren bleven wel wat hangen. Van hieruit kun je de Brecon Beans prima bezichtigen. Maak ook de Watervallen wandeling. Zeer mooi en makkelijk. Alles is van stof, gordijnen, vloerbedekking, veel kussens etc. Voor mensen met allergieën niet zo fijn. Maar dit is overal in Engeland
