“Basic but friendly”

Basic but okay and a very friendly family. If you plan to go to Ala‑Tau, do it—it’s superb! But the drive is long and a very dusty gravel road. In dry weather a 4WD isn’t mandatory, but decent ground clearance is recommended. We had some trouble finding the actual place we stayed. The address shown on Booking isn’t identical. We’re still debating it; there are many options and, independent of the accommodation, nice people who show you the unique sights. The staff were not very helpful, and the description of the lodging was average.

We were very well taken care of. The rooms were comfortable and the food tasty. The location is great.

The staff were caring, the place was spotless, and they arranged a transfer to the Aktaúta mountains and gave us a short tour.

The host mistakenly upgraded us to a special yurt, and when the error was later discovered they calmly kept the upgrade, so the yurt we stayed in was truly unique. It had its own shower room and toilet, and the room itself was spacious. The host checked in with us until checkout to make sure we had no issues. The yurt’s water supply can sometimes be unreliable, but when we mentioned it the host fixed the problem immediately.
