“I wouldn’t recommend this to my worst enemy.”

I can’t point to anything positive about this stay. It was the worst hotel experience of my life. The staff failed to provide check‑in details until an hour after the scheduled time. The property was in disarray: debris and nails led up to the porch, the room had water leaking from the ceiling, mold growing on the ceiling, rat or mouse droppings on the windowsills, multiple dead bugs, and a clogged toilet. Extension cords were taped to the wall over the door, raising serious fire‑code concerns. When we tried to contact staff for a resolution, they were extremely rude and disrespectful.

“Awesome location, one block away from the ferry to Mackinac Island. We are staying at a hotel with no staff.”

The location is premium, but there was no staff present. The shower lacked a curtain, and the door kept catching on the carpet, making it hard to open. I never received the email with the door access code, which is unusual for a hotel that promises that before arrival.

Nothing positive. The sign had the wrong name. There was no heat—outside was 57 °F. I missed dinner and fireworks because maintenance was still fixing the heating. The bed was very uncomfortable, the TV didn’t work, and there was no internet. They wouldn’t refund, so we had to leave.

I really appreciated how the room was set up, but the cost was too high and there was no staff to bring us the items we asked for.
