It’s in the busy center of Dickwella, but once you pass the gate toward the accommodation you enter a peaceful oasis! Beautiful garden with many animals (birds, lizards, geckos, monkeys). Really stunning! Everything is tidy and clean. Minu, the owner, does everything to make you comfortable. Everything pleased us!

Everything, the place is a haven of peace where you can escape the city noise. The breakfast is delicious, the room is very comfortable and I would especially highlight the hospitality and kindness of the owners—a 10 experience! All good :)

Very friendly staff. Our room was air‑conditioned, very clean (the newest bathroom we’ve ever had in Sri Lanka!) and fairly comfortable. The hotel is a bit “hidden” in a side street, so it’s quiet, tucked into a small, lovingly designed garden with (lovely) monkeys. Breakfast was tasty and everything else fit perfectly. We felt very comfortable! A tuk‑tuk takes about 7 minutes to the “center” of Hiriketya or the Hiriketya Beach. You can walk relaxed to Dickwella Beach in 10‑15 minutes. No way to open the window because of many mosquitoes and no mosquito net—so the room stays dark. It’s not a big deal if you don’t spend much time there.

I think the place was a solid bang for the buck: the spot was convenient, the room stayed tidy and the hot water worked, breakfast was decent, and the host was quick on WhatsApp. The traffic noise was muted because it sits just off the main road. The staff spoke limited English, but that didn’t bother me since they were friendly and helpful. The only downside was the absence of a mosquito net.

I fell in love with this charming, one‑of‑a‑kind house tucked behind a street gate in the heart of Dickwella, turning it into a quiet oasis amid the town’s bustle. A short walk takes you to a favourite beach lined with fishing boats, away from crowds, and a 15‑minute stroll leads to the surf spot at Hiriketiya. Breakfast was a delight, with monkeys playing and natural sounds filling the air. The rooms were comfortable and inviting, and I’d definitely return.
