“Disappointing, chaotic and noisy.”
Central spot. The handful of staff we met were friendly. The décor is quirky. Mornings were surprisingly quiet because restaurants don’t open until noon. The street noise from restaurants lingered late into the night (despite double glazing, the quality seemed poor). Sound from neighboring rooms—shower, toilet, hair dryer—could be heard. Our bathroom had maintenance issues: the washbasin was damaged and the shower was basically unusable. There was almost no staff to help, and we had to wait until the restaurant across the street stopped serving to get assistance. Only one staff member spoke English; the other could not, so we had to use Google Translate. They wouldn’t move us to a different room to use the shower but handed us the key to another room for two nights—ridiculous. Hot water took a long time to arrive. Breakfast was served on a conference table, which felt odd. Privacy was lacking because our window was less than 2 meters from the neighbors across the street, so they could see into our room.
