Family‑run Hussar Inn lies five minutes from Margate centre and the coast, offering free parking, Wi‑Fi, a bar with a parasol‑shaded garden and a restaurant serving home‑cooked meals. Each spacious bedroom includes an en‑suite bathroom, flat‑screen TV and tea/coffee facilities. A children’s playground adjoins the garden, while Broadstairs is ten minutes away and Dreamland Theme Park is within walking distance.

The TV in room 5 was broken, but they swapped me into a different room.

The owner/manager greeted me warmly, the room was spotless, and they left tea and coffee in the room when I arrived. I didn’t see a refrigerator in the room, though.

All clean and tidy, good quantity of tea and coffee. Comfy bed. I was kept awake by music coming up from the pub until 11.30. You expect a bit of noise in a room above a pub but this was a little extreme

I stayed two weeks in a double‑bed room 6—if you’re looking for that, it’s perfect.
