Breakfast was awesome and very accommodating for gluten free; the hosts were friendly and knowledgeable, making us feel relaxed and comfortable. We liked everything!

We loved both the interior and exterior; the grounds were immaculate with ample outdoor seating, the inside was beautifully decorated and spotless—no dust at all—and the room was very spacious. We appreciated the thematic consistency, the comfortable bed, and the very clean bathroom. Nothing was wrong with the property. The hosts Laura Sue and Rick were incredibly accommodating, chatting with us and showing genuine pride in their place. For a nominal fee, Rick even offered to drive us to a baseball game. Unfortunately, because we had a very early flight, we missed breakfast; we left around 5 while breakfast began at six, though they told us what was on the menu and it sounded delicious. They also host tea time on certain days, which we missed but was well attended. I would recommend this property. The only downside was that we couldn’t enjoy breakfast due to our early departure; we left around 5 but breakfast started at six. Laura Sue showed us where the coffee pot was if we wanted to make some.

The property is beautiful and unique, offering plenty to enjoy from the garden to the finishes to the artwork and historical documents curated throughout. Because of its age, there are some creaks, but the hosts provide earplugs for light sleepers.
