The location was awesome, close to the lake, restaurants, and plenty of activities to choose from
The staff were friendly and the hotel looked well kept
The lake views were pretty sweet

“Improve your staff.”
Its close to Eat Street, lake front. Great for a family. Kids loved the pool. Loved the young Maori girl, Kiri?? She was fantastic. Having to pay for parking! Onto of the accommodation. Rip offs. The Senior staff were rude. The lack of explanation regarding parking fee etc. She was rude whenI explained my visa card was on my electronic wallet. Her lack of sympathy for checking in. Honestly she was worried about the line. Another issue was, I booked 2 rooms and evwn while I was there after check in. We had to wait for the 2nd room??? Not a great experience at the front of house. I was thankful for the young Maori girl who had more compassion, even to apologize to me about late room access. Check your staff. Regardless of how long they've worked there, they need to learn proper customer service. Your Hotel ratings will go down because of bad customer service

The hotel was centrally located, which worked well for our work event.
Being close to the lake and the city was a plus, but the showers were lukewarm even after I asked for them to be fixed and the bar didn’t offer soda water.
“Rip off car parking and rude senior staff”
The location is unbeatable, but the senior staff were rude and didn't apologize when my room wasn’t ready at check‑in. Only Kiri, a young Māori girl, showed any compassion and apologized for the wait. I also had to pay for a patk every day, which felt greedy and a rip‑off.
The spot was great, but the bathroom needed a makeover and I was really let down.
