Getting there and checking in was smooth, and the breakfast offered several types of honey from the host, who is a beekeeper. The accommodation sits at the end of a street in a residential area (very quiet) on a hill overlooking the entire city, with a parking spot right in front of the entrance on the property. Unfortunately the shutters were broken (the lowest slat had broken off), but they still worked. The rooms have carpeted floors, which is inconvenient in winter.
“Perfekter erholsamer Kurzurlaub”
I was consistently satisfied. For a garni pension it was really good. On arrival I was asked if I wanted tea or coffee (full) and whether I preferred whole grain or regular rolls. They offered various sausages and cheese spreads, jam, and honey from their own apiary. A perfectly cooked egg was also available. Everything was very clean. Quiet and away from the bustle, located on the forest edge. A car is recommended for a trip down to Bad Ems in the valley. On the first day I had to learn from my dog‑walking routine that you have to go up again *g* :-D. A brief morning chat with the very friendly owner couple created a nearly family‑like atmosphere. I found out about this pension mainly because dogs are allowed. Also, my room had a generous terrace, which in winter couldn’t get the attention it deserved. The view from the garden over the bee hives into the valley is simply beautiful. I only had a few days for relaxation, and I would have liked to stay longer. There is no reason for criticism; everything was simply lovely.
“Empfehlung!”
The host was very friendly, breakfast featured good sausage and cheese, extraordinary jams, coffee and tea, and orange juice. The panoramic view is fantastic because the house is on a hill. The furniture is dated. The room on the ground floor was cool on the first night. The whole “Zores” in front of the house and around it unfortunately clouds the view.
It depends on the person’s stay and which clinic they’re in. I visited someone in the valley, and I was at a higher altitude where I needed public transport… that was annoying.
“Zijn super tevreden dat zulke mensen de dienst uitmaken”
Excellent breakfast and a very friendly and helpful couple of hosts. Nothing negative.
