Vaughan's Anchor Inn, a retreat in Liscannor, sits two miles from the Cliffs of Moher and five minutes from Lahinch’s golf course and beach. From the outside it looked like a typical Irish Pub, but the award‑winning cuisine surprised us and we enjoyed a lovely, excellent dinner; the staff were very friendly and welcoming, breakfast matched dinner in quality, the bathrooms appeared recently refurbished, clean, and modern, and the location was close to the Cliffs of Moher, just about a 15‑minute drive away, so we really liked the place.

Your breakfast was amazing and really tasty, and we enjoyed it, but the heat in the room was unbearable; we asked a few times to have it turned off, yet the room stayed very hot, and my wife and I woke up Saturday morning feeling a little stuffed up.
