“Erholung pur auf einem idyllisch gelegenen Mosel-Weingut”
We had a wonderful weekend; it could hardly have been better! The vineyard (and thus the Pension 1595) sits conveniently at the end of a small through‑street in the Maring district. Plenty of parking right in front of the house, peaceful silence at night, and no traffic. Still, the Mosel (Lieser) is just a kilometer away, and thanks to the nearby bridge you can easily explore both sides of the Mosel and even the Eifel or Hunsrück. Our room (No. 1) was more than generous: balcony, private hallway, and a large bathroom – almost a half‑house. Big smart TV, solid Wi‑Fi. Cozy on the balcony with valley view, or (when it’s hot) on the shaded rear terrace with flowers and a view of the wine hills. The whole house with its garden looks very appealing and well‑maintained. The morning starts in the bright, friendly breakfast room and is very tasty: homemade jams, freshly brewed cappuccino/espresso/coffee, a wide selection of rolls, a rich cheese and cold cuts platter, and eggs on request. A true winemaker’s breakfast. :-) Using the well‑stocked wine cooler was a must to honor the craftsmanship of the in‑house vineyard. Among connoisseurs this Mosel vineyard is known for its long tradition. Cooling the delicious slate‑grape Riesling in the evening on the quiet terrace is unforgettable! For dinner we recommend the nearby “Klostermühle Siebenborn” with its culinary ambition and a nice vegetarian menu, plus a shaded beer garden right on the Lieser, all for very fair prices. The stay was rounded off by the friendly care of Frau Botzek. You feel the hospitality of a traditional house that lives on wine production and its guests. We’ll gladly come back again, thank you for the lovely time!
