I booked a room but the hotel increased the price and demanded an extra fee.

The rooms were interesting, well trained, warm with beautiful views of the surroundings. The bed was comfortable. The hotel was very nicely and originally finished, although the finish standard is typically Asian. The owner was very engaged and tried hard to help us but… On those… a bit. The property is under investment and another building is being built next to it. Right behind the windows every morning at 6.30-7.00 I had a guaranteed wake‑up. Drilling, hammering, screwing, rumour and everything that comes with construction. Breakfasts in our sense of the word were missing. Every day a pho soup was served in the morning. We let it slide. The owner really wanted to help and we managed to arrange fried eggs and a banana. Three days in a row! The location is bad. Transport is mandatory.

“We wasted the majority of the day, finding the hotel, trying to communicate check in & check out & rebooking ano”

Nothing. We checked out after a few hours. More expensive than the nightly price advertised and booked for, had to pay in cash, no internet even at reception they blamed weather but I could get wifi through Telstra international sim. It was under major construction, photos used to promote are not current. Different name than advertised, communication was poor, no internet, such poor communication that they didn’t know we had a booking, we weren’t even sure we were at the correct hotel until we were shown the room.
