The private‑house apartment was roomy, with a separate living area, bedroom, kitchen and toilet, which was a plus. The downside was the tiny combined bathroom that can’t really accommodate a shower, and the winter heating relied solely on a small air‑conditioner that struggled to warm the whole place.

We liked the two balconies and the living room felt both cozy and roomy, but the shower was basically built for someone very short and small, which made it awkward to use.

The house sits in a quiet area, though the street is a bit narrow for parking; the hosts have a nice backyard with seating and a grill, and the town of Bankya offers great spa facilities, hiking trails, local cuisine and friendly locals.
