Cairns City Motel

“Not satisfactory.”

The location is fantastic, but the room felt a bit dated with mismatched furniture and questionable bedding; overall standards were okay but it definitely needs a remodel, new beds, and a better shower—its spout could use an upgrade. Lighting was terrible, yet the customer service was amazing and staff helped whenever needed. Still, the overall property condition was poor.

The place was clean and offered great access to the city.

Air conditioning was available, and the hotel was close to the city center and the airport, making it quiet. The room was somewhat dated.

The location was decent, but the building feels tired and needs renovation. With only six parking spaces for 20 units, you’ll have to hit the street if you’re not early. Lights stay on all night outside, and the curtains don’t block out light well enough. There’s no iron or any place to hang clothes, which is inconvenient for business travelers.
