The accommodation was clean and exactly what we were looking for; it isn’t close to anything but it was enjoyable. On the flip side, it’s close to transportation and the location is perfect for nearby local restaurants.

The reception, cleaning, facilities—all were very well cared for, and the service was affectionate.

Staying on the Lido is a great option if you want to avoid the crowds of Venice itself, and from there it’s a 20‑second Vaporetto ride to St. Mark’s Square. The Hotel Mélia has not yet been fully renovated, but otherwise there’s absolutely nothing to complain about.

I stayed in a great spot and the breakfast buffet offered a wide variety, and the welcome was friendly. The shower was spacious, but the water pressure was weak and adjusting the temperature felt like a gamble.
