The staff were friendly, the facilities beautiful, the décor tasteful, and the gardens lovely, but there were no savory options at breakfast and the upholstery in the common areas could have been cleaner.

The place was close to the city centre, but the breakfast was terrible. The photos and the structure (which shows a breakfast area) clearly suggest a buffet, yet that’s not the case. They sent us to two bars, one worse than the other, with two vouchers. The first bar only had desserts that were inedible; the second, despite the voucher that read “one sweet or salty item + drink” (exactly what I took), I had to pay an extra fee. So the breakfast was misleadingly advertised and I had to pay the surcharge myself. Poor transparency and poor management. I reported it to the owner, but she never replied. Additionally, the doors didn’t work properly, the handles were loose or non‑functional, the walls were thin and everything was audible (it’s an apartment turned B&B), the shower siphon was broken, and the air‑conditioner was noisy. Overall maintenance was very poor. For the price paid, it’s absolutely not recommended. I also note that the check‑in was subpar: the owner wants to know the day before what time I’ll arrive to “organise”; naturally I don’t know the exact time a day in advance. Then she changes and tells me to “notify us half an hour before arriving.” I notify half an hour in advance and she says it’s not possible to come right away because I didn’t warn her in time. But you told me half an hour before. In short, a somewhat improvised B&B. Not recommended for the price; the proximity to the centre was good, though.

The location was great, on a quiet, safe street with no ambient noise, and the interior spaces had a “grandma” style décor with a large lounge for reading and a small balcony with chairs and tables; the host gave vouchers for breakfast at the downstairs bar (hot drink + brioche) – I asked the host on Sunday where I could use it elsewhere, and communication with the host was easy. However, the rooms and bathrooms were not tidy or clean (though towels were apparently changed every two nights).

The accommodation is 100 metres from the Teatro Massimo! It also offers a great city view from the kitchen, which is very well equipped, and the living room is very good. The only downside is that the door key is linked to the lights throughout the property, and it’s the only key you’re given. One time I left late and didn’t realise my travel companion was left without internet and also without light until I returned.

The accommodation is close to the Teatro Massimo, a luxury! The elevator lamp was burnt out, so we had to light ourselves with our phone’s flashlight.
