We spent a few fantastic days at Casa Rural Zafra de Záncara – Planeta Chicote, a place that feels special with its calm, charm, beautiful surroundings, and everything you need to truly unwind. The accommodation is well‑maintained and spotless, and the pool is about a 5‑minute walk, though you have to climb a few steps; it’s still worth the effort to enjoy the scenery and peace. Ricardo is an excellent host—friendly, attentive, and always making sure we had everything we needed. Cornelia, the cleaning lady, is also lovely and very kind. Guests like them make the stay even better. We felt very comfortable and left with a fantastic memory. We recommend this place without hesitation and would gladly return. If you’re looking for tranquility, a great atmosphere, and attentive service, this is a spot worth visiting. The only downside is the dog and cat droppings on the village streets and the unpleasant smell while walking around.

Separate bedrooms each with its own bathroom and plenty of space. A 5‑minute walk through a cozy village leads to the pools, and the sunset views from the pool are lovely. The patio is closed off and shaded, and the interior has a rustic feel. Minor issues: no kettle, only Nespresso and a moka pot; the beds aren’t very stable; there’s no lower shelf in the bathroom for storage.
Ricardo’s hospitality was fantastic, and the pool area is spectacular. We’ll definitely come back.
