Dogs were accepted for a fee, but you couldn’t have lunch in a room—only on a sofa in the reception hallway and in the air‑conditioned corridors. The 7 am wake‑up call was very loud and the rooms weren’t insulated. There were works all around the hotel, and parking was hard to get into. The rate was 32 euros per night.

The spot was spot‑on, right next to everything Ghent offers, and we managed to book the parking, which was a bonus. The check‑in team was very helpful, and it turned out to be a great value stay for our group of eight friends. The parking area felt a bit cramped; moving the bins at the entrance would have made access a bit smoother.

Frukosten var okej. Inget stort utbud dock. Personalen sprang bara omkring och frågade efter kupongen till frukosten trots att man redan gett den. Läget på hotellet var fantastisk!! Låg centralt i ett fint område med fina sevärdheter!!. Frukosten. Dåligt utbud och min sista dag på hotellet var det frukost fram till klockan 10.00. När jag kom ner till frukostrummet var det jätteutplockat och det fylldes inte på. Personalen som sagt gick och frågade hela tiden efter frukost kupongen. Var lite irriterande precis som att dem inte trodde på att man gett den till dem. Borde stått en personal vid entrén och tagit emot kupongen eller stått och frågat efter rumsnumret

The location is perfect, and the view from the window looked out onto the São Bávão cathedral! We did everything on foot, even grabbing breakfast at Café Paul, just a few minutes’ walk from the hotel. Nearby restaurants fit the Ibis standard but with a few extra touches, like a water filter that’s very handy for guests. The hotel is Ibis‑standard but has a special charm.
