“Disappointed.”

We chose this hotel because it was near the start of the great south run. Unfortunately, we were not allowed to leave our car at the hotel to pick it up after the race, whereas in previous years we could and were happy to pay the extra parking fee. This forced us to move our car at 8 am with all our luggage before the race, which was not ideal preparation. Our car would have left by 2 pm at the latest, and since we couldn’t check in until 3 pm, our car would not have even been parked for 24 hours!

“Comfortable place in a beautiful location”

The facilities were brilliant and the bed was comfy. Nothing else to note—everything was great.

The location is good and the neighborhood is quiet. Since our last visit, the dining room furniture clearly needs to be replaced.

“Prima maar zeer gedateerd en moet nodig gerenoveerd worden”

The location and breakfast were fine, and the staff were super friendly and helpful. The hotel is old and that shows everywhere: the chairs and beds are worn, the lobby chairs are old, and in Room 1 the TV wouldn’t stay on. Room 2 had an air‑conditioner unit opposite the window that made noise while the room’s AC was non‑functional. Room 3 was the best, with a reasonably working AC.

“Convenient comfortable with helpful staff”

The spot is easy to reach and the meals—both dinner and breakfast—were tasty, while the room felt cozy and the staff were a big help. The only downside was the loud music playing in the lounge that got on my nerves.
