The room was comfortable and clean, nothing special, but the bar and common area downstairs had little atmosphere. The football was on and only two people were around. I now prefer the Gosford Hotel for a more overall comfortable stay. The staff were unfriendly and disengaged, and there was no atmosphere.
The room looked nice, but we had planned to dine on our balcony and paid extra for a bay view and balcony. The balcony turned out cold, on the 7th floor, with a view blocked by the street, so we ended up eating out and spending more. I wouldn’t pay extra for those features.
“King room guest value for money.”
The room was spacious and the bathroom well appointed, with really great interior design that I loved. The only issue was that the car park signage could have been better.
“Our thoughts in room 901”
We loved the location and the water views from our room, and the staff were very helpful. The restaurants were great, and Astra the rooftop bar impressed us with its wine and beautiful menu; we sat at the bar, watched the sunset, and enjoyed the staff’s exceptional service. The only downside was the toilet light switch being inside the bathroom, hard to find in the dark, and the lack of seating—just one chair for breakfast room service, so we had to take turns in room 901. The deck could use seating and a table to better use the views; there was a small outdoor area, but we had to lean over the balustrade to see the Brisbane waters. A bar‑style table and stools against the balustrade would let guests enjoy a drink with the view.

The reception was friendly, the staff clean, and the location was great, just a 30‑minute drive to the entrance. I loved my stay, though the pillows were way too soft.
