I liked it.
“Als günstigste Unterkunft unserer Reise für eine Nacht okay gewesen, muss aber nicht nochmal sein”
The room was clean and the size was fine. The view from the room of the mountains, city and a waterfall was great. There was a sink in the room, and the kitchen had the essentials. We didn’t have much traffic around, so it was quiet and we could use the kitchen ourselves. Free parking was right in front of the building. Self‑check‑in was hassle‑free. The price of 75 €/night was very cheap for Iceland, so we could overlook the negatives for one night. The room was very stuffy and stale; the window could only be opened a tiny sliver. The bed was uncomfortable. The bathrooms were under construction, so we didn’t shower. For one night it was okay. The kitchen was old.
The village is a harbor town. The low price matches the building’s condition. We don’t recommend it for families. The guesthouse is worn out and not very clean, in a building in bad shape, on the 2nd floor without an elevator. The bathrooms need renovation and are accessible to everyone because there is no lock at the entrance.
The guesthouse sits nicely for exploring the peninsula, though it feels a bit old‑fashioned. Our room was of decent size, with comfortable beds, good furnishings and a sink. The two shared kitchens weren’t immaculate, but they offered a chance to meet other guests, which I appreciated. The bathrooms were clean enough. Overall, it was quiet.
“Orribile e vergognoso …”
We all slept in the car because it was too dirty, unclean and smelled awful… it should close down…
