It’s a lovely hotel that I’ve stayed at a few times. When we ordered lunch—two sandwiches for me and my partner—I was the only one in the restaurant and it still took an hour to get them. The rooms need updating.

The staff are nice. The room is a bit small, and the overhead bed lights didn’t work.

The food is excellent as usual. It would have been nice if the towel rails were warm, and there was a dead seagull on the flat roof visible from the window.

The place offers great value—very cheap and right next to the beach and shops. The building and rooms feel old‑fashioned and the room was a bit small; a modern makeover would help.
