“Great location, nice hotel, lovely staff.”

The young man at reception was lovely and helpful, breakfast felt like a treat, the air‑con worked well, and the bathroom and fridge were fine; the hotel is in the centre of Lucca. I can’t point out any particular downside.

I really liked staying at Palazzo Alexander, a small, charming hotel in a historic palazzo with lovely interiors and rooms full of character, especially the Puccini‑named rooms that fit Lucca. The staff were genuinely friendly, warm, and helpful, making me feel welcome from the start. The only drawback was the noise that travelled between rooms; I was lucky the neighbours were quiet, but I could still hear them talking almost as if they were in my room. Overall, I have fond memories of this beautiful little hotel with lots of character, lovely people, and a perfect location in Lucca.
