The Queen suite was great, but the stairs were a problem.

“100% recommend! We will stay here again when going to Iowa City!”

The town was fantastic, and the square location was perfect; the old historic building was fully renovated yet still felt like it could be 100 years old, which I loved. The coffee shop had a wonderful atmosphere and was full of people. We didn’t eat at the Italian restaurant, but it looked fantastic and had a cool outdoor area like those in big cities. The owner met her husband in Italy, and they returned to open the restaurant, café, and Nite Suites. Everything about the town is wonderful—beautiful old houses, the oldest continuously operating movie theatre in the country, and more. The young woman at the coffee shop where we checked in didn’t understand customer service and came across as extremely rude. I spoke with the very nice owner, who thanked me for the feedback, said they are explaining to her what is needed in greeting and helping guests, and that she loves her job but doesn’t realize she appears rude. I was very happy that the owner recognized it, was receptive and sympathetic, and is actively working with her to improve. I also appreciate her willingness to invest time and effort to help her become a better worker.

“It was good!”

The place was quiet, but the stairs were long and there was no elevator.

The location and decor were lovely, I liked the nice towels and the pillows were comfortable; however, there were no complimentary toiletries, the large soaps in the shower were unpleasant, and the coffee machine had no water.

“Luxury on the Square”

It was a wonderful experience; we felt pampered and valued, the room was gorgeous, the amenities were generous, the towels were thick, and the bed was sublime—nothing to complain about.
