The AC is cool, but the room is too spacious, so it ends up feeling hot.

“Disappointing!”

The room had a charming old Khmer style, but the balcony was locked because it wasn’t safe to use. The photos were totally misleading—the hot tubs didn’t work, the restaurant was permanently closed, and the place only makes sense if you have a car to drive into town. The only thing we liked was the Khmer house itself; everything inside the room worked fine. The staff were helpful, though they don’t speak English at all.

“Nice Wooden Houses along the River”

The wooden houses on the large riverfront property were beautiful, with clean rooms, ample parking, and friendly staff plus the owner. We received daily fruit and snack deliveries from the owner, which was very nice. We booked with breakfast included but were offered vouchers for a city restaurant because the property’s own restaurant isn’t operating; that was okay for us, and the city restaurant offered great food and more variety than the hotel would normally provide. The downside is there’s no river swimming access, and a few chairs or loungers on the river terrace would have made the stay even more relaxing; the small Jacuzzis are currently out of service.
