The staff were helpful.

See my previous review for a full rundown of my bum‑experience in vivid detail. I forgot a crucial point: if you decide to stay here, DO NOT BOOK the so‑called “queen room.” It’s a flimsy scam; from a royal room you only get a cramping hemorrhoid from long sitting, because there’s literally nowhere to walk in that tiny space—90 % of the area is the bed. All rooms in this hostel look exactly as on the photos—it’s not just a sample, it’s the exact shabby place you’ll be put in. Pick the one with a window and you’ll be happy.

Surprisingly clean, even cleaner than many decent hotels; towels were provided and there was no deposit, and bugs were effectively eradicated. Your safety, however, depends entirely on whom you end up sharing the space with. The staff only monitored the hostel until 5 pm, and on random days they announced a day off without warning. Twice I saw guests being left to fend for themselves—people arrived at a prearranged time and were met by a locked barn door. Just before leaving, two guys tried to pry the method of contacting the owners from me because they couldn’t check into a room—no staff or keys were available. I barely escaped them. The owners are friendly and sometimes helpful, but they seem indifferent to their business. In the neighboring room, a guest smoked a cigarette right under the staff’s nose with zero reaction. The Wi‑Fi was cut off for two days and nobody came to fix it. The entire first floor smelled like cat poop because the door was left open every night—no one cared. The pretzel deserves mention for once mixing my expired Seven‑Star noodles from the fridge. When my 1.5‑liter bottle of water vanished from my shelf, I realized I could no longer tolerate it and stopped feeding the unknown slacker. The hostel isn’t at fault, but this incident reveals much about the clientele. What the hostel really failed at was the complete lack of cameras. Thinking about possible scenarios, you realize that stealing a pack of cigarettes isn’t the worst thing that could happen out of sight of neighbors. I don’t lower my rating because of the price—this is truly the cheapest room in all of Mahannakhon, at least at the time of writing. You can live there, but the rest are details.

Great customer service. The staff are welcoming and helpful. The location is good—close to a 7/11 and many food stores, but not near the BTS.
