The hotel was very pleasant. With a little luck, you could see Mt. Fuji from the room – we caught a 10‑minute glimpse at 5 am before the clouds rolled back in. The tatami room was spacious, the futons were comfortable, and the shower was shared. Continental breakfast was included, and the large lounge was great for reading, trying on kimonos, and doing origami. The value for money was excellent.

The place is within walking distance of Kawaguchiko station, and the locals are very friendly. The common room has a small corner where you can learn about the culture and practice calligraphy. A shared kitchen is an added bonus.
