The manager was rude, and that was the only negative aspect.
“Stay at Cocogreen hostel | 4th-6th September”
The only thing I appreciated was our host, Mr Emanuel, who was courteous and welcoming; I wish him all the best. The location is good, with the Tungabhadra at the end of the street and coracle rides available. However, this is not a hostel but a single‑bedroom apartment turned dormitory. Three single beds sit in the hall and seven beds (three double bunks and one single) occupy the only room. The room has AC, the hall does not. All ten rooms share one bathroom, which is dirty and in poor condition (photos attached). We were told not to touch anything inside while the heater was on. The kitchen offers nothing but a basin for washing your face. There are no lockers, so expect no privacy for your belongings or yourself. Windows have missing glass panes, only cloth and curtains, and anyone can easily see inside.
“I had a short trip and it was a worth trip in an off season time.”
The ambience was excellent.
“Really enjoyed my stay at cocogreen. The host was amazing. Suggested me places to explore and places to have good food.”
The property sits right next to the main road and the river, and you can walk to the water and nearby restaurants. Everything else was great.
“Excellent Stay”
The property is well maintained, and the host is a great guy. I stayed for two nights and he always checked on me and offered help. I would definitely recommend this place.
