“Good for a short stay”

The price was fairly reasonable, the old building was pretty with trees all around, and it was close enough to town. It was peaceful and quiet, and the room was comfortable enough for a brief stay. The location is beautiful. The staff seemed unwelcoming except for a young woman who seemed happy; the lady who greeted us said she couldn’t pronounce my name, which felt like a way to signal that I was foreign, something I know most people can handle. The breakfast service had the same attitude. No one was overtly rude, but a bit more friendliness—perhaps a smile—would improve the experience. I say this with love! The mattresses only support a 1–2 night stay. There were no face towels, so I had to use a bath sheet for my face, which felt wasteful; I didn’t ask for a face towel, maybe they just forgot to leave some. The staff room door was always open and the area was messy. It’s a lovely room, so it could be presented better.

Very close to the airport, free off‑street parking, wonderful breakfast, and the staff were very kind and helpful. The stairs are steep and the bathroom is super tiny.

“Toller britischer Charme”

The hostess was pleasant, we were taken care of very well, and the accommodation was exactly the charming, cozy British home I had imagined. You must visit.

The facilities were clean and had everything needed for a stay: a microwave, kettle, sink in the room, and a fridge was a great addition. I was supposed to stay at Oakfield Lodge, but on arrival I was told there was a booking error; the hosts were lovely and arranged accommodation at their second property, so I still had a bed for the night.
