“If you want to be near Ganges, perfect but maintenance is not good”

The terrace facing the Ganges is lovely, and the staff were very kind, but the bathroom feels very old and the overall maintenance is low; getting there is a bit scary because the street has no lights.

“Superbe !”

We stayed in August at this hotel because of its location, which was perfect. The hotel overlooks the banks of the Ganges, offering a stunning view; our room faced the Ganges with a small balcony, and there’s also a terrace adjoining the dining room for everyone to use. It’s close to all attractions, especially the most important Ghat where we walked at night to watch the Aarti ceremony. The hotel is in the old town, where the narrow streets can be a bit confusing for Westerners, but there’s no need to be afraid—everything is calm. The director asked an employee to escort us at 4 am to the main road, order a tuk‑tuk, and drive us to the airport; this service was essential for us to feel guided and reassured during the night, as we’re not used to this type of city. The same service is offered for late arrivals. The breakfasts are also very good, Indian. The director is very welcoming. The only drawback is the somewhat basic comfort of the room, but the price and view more than make up for it; there is hot water and the mattress is comfortable. We thank Diwedi for his hospitality! I recommend it! And Varanasi, what an amazing city, especially during the monsoon season!

The view from the room is superb, right in front of the Ganges River, and the staff are friendly, but there are no hot showers.
