Kamandhani Hotel Ubud

The property sits almost in the heart of Ubud but is a bit tucked away, giving it quiet and no car noise. It’s clean and well kept. The service earns five stars – kind, always smiling, and ready to help. Breakfast is served at the room door, very tasty, with one hot dish, ice, and fresh fruit. The only downside is the bathtub; I’d prefer a shower, but that’s just a matter of taste.

“Great location, friendly staff, and good breakfast, but the rooms need renovation”

I had a pleasant stay overall and liked several aspects. The location is excellent for getting around. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and the breakfast was good, especially the floating option which was well organized. However, the rooms need major renovation and better upkeep. The room feels old, with mold on the bathroom walls, a crack next to the air‑conditioner, faded paint on the furniture, and a leaking toilet. Mosquitoes were plentiful inside, making it hard to relax at night. The room only offers a toothbrush, shampoo, and body wash; slippers, a hair dryer, and more towel hangers would be better, as two hangers aren’t enough. Also, there was no electricity from 5:40 AM to 6:00 AM on my checkout day, which was inconvenient. The property has great potential because of its location and welcoming staff, but proper renovation, regular maintenance, better pest control, and extra room amenities would make it much more comfortable for future guests. The biggest drawback is the outdated room with moldy walls, a crack beside the AC, faded paint, a leaking toilet, and many mosquitoes that made nights uncomfortable.

“A sanctuary for reflection”

The place is simple and tranquil. The owner and staff are all helpful and friendly, always greeting guests with a smile. Breakfast is affordable and tasty. It’s a budget hotel that deserves high praise. I can’t think of any negatives.
