“Good value in centre of Panaji”

The stay was pleasant with a clean, comfortable room and lovely, helpful staff, though breakfast was a bit basic.

The quirky hotel had a large room overlooking the river with a massive bed and small touches like a plug‑in mosquito repellent; breakfast was good, but the lack of a lift made it a bit of a struggle to bring suitcases down when checking out.

“Stadthotel in guter Lage, etwas angestaubt”

The location was fantastic, set in an old Portuguese house with the charming “The Verandah” restaurant offering a view. At check‑in they tried to give us a smaller room than the one we’d booked, which we proved was wrong by comparing the pictures on the site; they eventually handed us a spacious ground‑floor room that was fairly cool but smelled a bit stale from the tropical air. We had booked a room in the Pousada but were placed in the inn, which was acceptable though a little odd, and the whole place felt a bit dusty—some of that gave it character, some of it felt outdated. The breakfast could have been better for the price.
