The large comfortable bed was a plus, but I couldn’t get Chromecast on the TV to work, there were stains on the carpet and chair, and the multi-storey parking nearby cost £12 for an overnight stay.

The staff were exceptional, welcoming, and helpful.

The TV in the room was surprisingly good for a hotel, and the space was decent, but the bed was hard to get comfortable on and I had trouble sleeping. Breakfast was almost a joke: only a bowl of tomato ketchup with a spoon and scrambled eggs, which felt like a step down from the free breakfast I had at a Holiday Inn the day before, especially considering the £17 price tag.
