The location was good, the staff were helpful and friendly, and they went above and beyond to help with laundry and travel info. It took a while for the water to heat up for the shower.
“Dirty place, toilets not clean, charged more than listed price, rude staff, no power backup”
I was charged 3000 Rs, nearly 1000 Rs more than the listed price, and an extra 100 Rs for a dental kit that isn’t usually billed. The hygiene was awful, the staff were unfriendly, and a powercut left us without backup until 9 PM. Worst experience.
The owner, Ameer is a very nice, and honest man. 1.The property was nice, aesthetically pleasing to look at . 2. Easy to reach, boat transfers from the Ghat are managed by the owners. 1. The washroom was clean though , but little bit smelly , probably due to some blockage in the drainage system
I spent a night on this houseboat on Dal Lake and it was truly peaceful. The mountain views and still water made it special, and watching the sunset reflect on the lake in the evening was the highlight. The place was simple but cozy, and the hosts were kind and welcoming. If you want a calm, unique experience, it's definitely worth it.
