The view was beautiful, yet you could hear everything from the neighboring room; the bathroom had a large opening at the top that faced the hotel corridor, and you could also hear everything from the other bathroom.

The terrace offered an exceptional view, the staff were warm and available, and Manou particularly enjoyed the Pancake package.

Staff are awesome. All great facilities. It is in a rural area. Expect chickens and dogs waking you up. Some minor soundproofing on the doors would go a long way. A ceiling fan would be great for airflow, but wasn’t necessary for me to be comfortable in the room. A communal fridge or small fridge in the room for some beers. A communal BBQ upstairs for people to bring their own dinner back and enjoy the rooftop if an evening (maybe?) and some fairy lights. The rooftop doesn’t need a lot changed in any way. A lot of places work really hard and spend a lot of money to get half as close to a good space as you’ve got there. Bigger issue was the pooling water in the shower/toilet area… its gradient isn’t constant, so some water pools, and the drain is very slow to clear the water. (So getting the drain cleared or flowing is the easy fix here… a new showerhead from Alibaba would go a long way as well)

The family that runs the place is charming. They helped us with everything and recommended many things to do and see, even taking us to the start of the trek up the village without any charge. Even though it’s a short route, it’s appreciated. Breakfast is made on the spot and is very good. Perhaps the fact that it’s quite open to the outside makes there be a bit of noise at night.

“Le meilleur hébergement de notre séjour”

The friendliness of the staff and the two young managers is exceptionally kind. A conversation with them let us understand the Balinese more than any travel guide. The manager organized a jungle excursion for us and did everything to make it easier. The massage in the downstairs massage room was a real treat, the breakfast was very generous and excellent, and the rooftop view is magnificent. Nothing.
