The breakfast offered a great variety, and the vibe was warm and welcoming. Whenever help was needed, the staff were ready, and the property was spotless. Access to the sea and the beach was simply dreamy, and despite the tough times, Sussee stayed cheerful, which lifted our spirits. The only downside was that the beach lounge could use a little sprucing up.

I had visited seven years ago and noticed a lot of upgrades and new additions over time. The rooms are beautiful, the breakfast superb, and we also dined there. His wife is an outstanding cook. Right outside the house, a bus can take you to Colombo or Galle. The beach behind the house is almost empty. Everyone was friendly and helpful, making the stay enjoyable. It’s definitely worth a visit—simply great.

The spot right on the beautiful, quiet beach was amazing. There are sunbeds with mattresses in the shade, so you can relax even on the hottest day. The sea is safe for swimming and the beach is clean, which isn’t common everywhere in Sri Lanka. Plus, the service from Susee, his wife, and daughter is always ready; Susee will take you in his tuk‑tuk to the village if you ask. The breakfast is very good and extensive, and in between stops, Susee hands you snacks made by his wife and daughter. You can rent a scooter. We stayed a week at Susee Villa because our flight was cancelled in Dubai and we had to extend our stay by nine days, but the wonderful experience at Susee Villa made the unexpected extension enjoyable. The room is fine, clean, with a fridge, kettle, and a dining area. The shower is good with always hot water. You can dine there or go to one of the many restaurants on the beach—plenty of choices. In short, a highly recommended place for a few days or longer.
