Mwandi View, located in Kavimba on the banks of the Chobe River, features an outdoor swimming pool and sun terrace. Some units include a dining area, patio, and kitchenette with microwave. Private bathrooms with showers are equipped with towels and bed linen. Guests can enjoy a drink at the on-site bar and packed lunches. Bike hire is available, and the area is popular for fishing near Chobe National Park, 18 km away.

The terrace is beautiful with a great view of the Chobe floodplain, full of birds, and in the evenings a herd of elephants at the watering hole. Owner Amelia was moving and attentive to our tours, and the Chobe National Park safari with Lucky was exceptionally good.

The owners are friendly and helpful, the location is close to Chobe gate, and the breakfast and dinner were tasty. The tent could use some modernization, maybe add cooling for hot days.

We only stayed one night, but the place was clean, comfortable, and the owners and staff were friendly; the dinner was very good. Having a waterhole nearby was nice, though we only saw birds and a jackal after dinner and didn’t stay up late to see more. We did hear a lot of hippo activity close by overnight. We also enjoyed a few hours by the pool on a very hot day.
